Description
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available in our new Orange County area office for a project manager to work with our architecture and building engineering group. The position will be responsible for successfully managing a multi-disciplinary team comprised of engineering and architectural staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: communicating with Army, Navy and National Guard clients to develop project scopes, fees and schedules; organizing and managing internal and external resources to deliver high quality designs and services; and developing new business with Army Corps of Engineers and Navy Facilities Engineering Command in Southern California. Some travel may be required.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have a bachelor s degree or higher in either architecture or engineering and at least eight years (ten preferred) of relevant experience. Professional licensure as an architect or engineer in any state with the ability to obtain licensure (within six months of hire) in additional states is also required.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: prior experience working with Army Corps of Engineers or Navy Facilities Engineering Command; project management experience; experience with military and/or aviation projects; experience with renovation and/or new construction of public and/or commercial building facilities; familiarity/experience with project planning, fee preparations, contract negotiation; proposal writing experience; construction administration experience. Strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are desired.
