Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited Bachelor or Masters of Architecture or Interior Design degree program (NCIDQ certification and LEED accreditation are a plus but not required)
Minimum of 6 years of related professional experience
Prefer applicants with minimum of 3 years of commercial project design experience
Candidates must be proficient in CAD software; knowledge of 3D software including Sketch Up is a plus but not required
Experience with Excel and Adobe suite software is a plus
General Requirements:
Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through construction
Establish and execute strong and clear design direction
Interpret and implement overall project goals and constraints including client objectives, design criteria, design budget parameters and schedule requirements
Oversee project quality control
Build and maintain effective relationships with existing clients and prospects to generate new business opportunities
Inspire, motivate, and mentor current employees
Perform work according to the KAA Core Values
Project Responsibilities:
Serve as primary client contact
Develop and coordinate client presentations
Lead team in the development of design direction
Develop furniture, lighting and materials design resulting in complete construction/purchasing specifications
Prepare and coordinate cost estimates as required and specifically oversee the maintenance of the project budget for FFE items
Prepare and coordinate the processing of schematic design, design development and construction documents through the execution of plans (floor, finish, RCP), interior elevations, details and millwork drawings in conjunction with Architectural team
Assist in consultant coordination (lighting, AV, electrical, ADA)
Oversee the Construction Administration and Purchasing process for a project in conjunction with Architectural team
Update Discipline Director on internal design meetings, job site visits, etc.
Prioritize, delegate, and coordinate tasks with interdisciplinary project team members
