KENGO KUMA established Kengo Kuma & Associates in 1990. His numerous residential works, museums, and other public facilities have received ongoing critical acclaim as well as national and international awards, including the prestigious Architectural Institute of Japan Award in 1997. Recent projects include the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum and the Lotus House, 2005; Suntory's new Tokyo office building, 2004; LVMH (Louis Vuitton) Group's Japan headquarters, 2003; Great (Bamboo) Wall House, near Beijing, 2002; and the Museum of Hiroshige Ando, 2000.

In addition to a professorship at Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology since 2001, Kuma frequently lectures at other worldwide institutions. He is the author of several books on contemporary Japanese architecture, including the best-selling Shin Kenchiku Nyumon (New Introduction to Architecture,) 1994.

Kengo Kuma will be introduced by Christopher Hawthorne, architecture critic, Los Angeles Times.
