This 30,000 sq. ft. museum was seen buy the jury as both respectful of the traditions and character of the historic core of Pasadena and yet forward in its formal spatial character. Safdie: liked the effort in making a very indivual work, and felt the buildings exterior and interior detailing was especially well executed.
